About the Exams
The Musicianship Theory exam is given online only.
Fees
Primer to Level 4
$20 for LVMTA members
$25 for non-members
Level 5 - Level 10
$25 for LVMTA members
$30 for non-members
Registration

Fill out a registration form for each student, available on LVMTAexams.com

Pay the registration fee

You will receive a Zoom link for the online theory exam after successful registration and payment

A passing grade is 70% or upwards, and students may take more than one level exam in a year. A Theory exam is not required to also take the Repertoire/Technique exam

Teachers or students will be informed of their grade immediately after completing the exam

Guidelines

Students will take the theory test from their home, without the assistance of their teacher.

Parents are encouraged to help younger students during the exam.

A separate Zoom link will be provided to assist with any questions during the exam.

If any technical issue or exam design error occurs, those questions will be waved and credited back to the students to avoid any scoring conflicts.
